Confirm, confirm, and confirm again. Double check dates and times on tickets and put them in your honeymoon folder (of course efficient you has one!). Also, think about picking up traveler’s checks or how you’ll be exchanging currency. Do you need use of a cell phone while you’re in Rome? Will you be needing internet access or will you have use of your Blackberry? Think details!
For extra safety: Make copies of your passport, credit cards, identification, etc., and leave it with a family member just in case your wallet and/or luggage is stolen or lost.
