An Interview  To Valet or Not to Valet

An Interview with Matt Loiacono

President of Limousine, Inc.

WW: What are the common misconceptions people have when ordering a limousine?

Matt: Generally people think about the cost of the limo over the service. We want to spend time asking questions like, how many people are going to be riding in the limo, what are the sizes of the people and what will they be wearing. This makes a difference in selecting the right limo for the group. The limo service needs to be accommodating, reliable and comfortable, not just affordable.

WW: What is the average cost of a limousine?

Matt: They can run anywhere from $50/hr to $300/hr. The wrong question to ask is “What’s your price for weddings?” There are a few factors that go into selecting a limousine service for any occasion. We understand that many brides don’t always know what to ask, so we take the time to ask them a series of questions to get a feel for what they need and then we can talk cost. Don’t shop for price because sometimes you’ll get what you pay for.

WW: How do you judge how may people can fit in a limousine?

Matt: If it is noted that the limo seats 6 to 8 people, always go for the smaller number. This allows for enough room so everyone can sit comfortably. The bride should be as comfortable as possible because the wedding day could be one of the most stressful days of her life.

WW: How important is it for people to see the limousine before ordering service?

Matt: Extremely. What you see in an ad may not be what you get on the day of your wedding. We invite all our customers to come to our facility to see what we have. They can view and sit in the limo to see how it looks and feels. Representatives are available if customers want to ask questions. We believe in being personable. All our customers should feel comfortable about our service and merchandise.

WW: What value should be placed on an experienced business?

Matt: Communication, on the clock scheduling and professional drivers are important components of a good limousine company. Experience polishes each of these divisions and brings a sense of pride and accountability to the establishment.

WW: What is the responsibility of the chauffeur?

Matt: The chauffeur is there to be a certified professional. He helps the bride out of the house and into the church. As the maid-of-honor walks down the aisle, the chauffeur helps the bride prepare to walk down the aisle.
