Videography as An Art  Choosing the Right Videographer  The Interview  Videography with Style

Choosing the Right Videographer

There are videographers who can make your wedding look like a Hollywood movie, while others like to give it the more home-movie style. Whichever style you decide on, be sure you’re happy with the professional behind the camera. You want your wedding video to be exquisite and to last for generations to come.

Finding The Videographer. Don’t let just anyone videotape your ceremony. Check with friends, magazines, the internet, and other sources for recommendations. Your photographer can be your best source in finding an excellent videographer.

Educate Yourself. Learn what’s out there by meeting with many different videographers. Meet with videographers of all different price ranges, even if you aren’t able to afford some of them. They may be able to give you some good ideas.

You want your wedding video to be exquisite.

Sample. Be sure to see samples of all video styles the videographer has done. Be sure to watch the video the whole way through so you know exactly what to expect with yours.

Your Best Offer. Find out contract specifics and see who can give you the most for your money. How long will the videographer be shooting? Will they be there for the entire ceremony and reception? How soon can they get the finished product?

Videography Technology. Find out what type of technology and equipment he/she uses. If you have your video made on DVD, it ensures quality music, and sound that will last for generations. VHS may be the cheapest, but it’s also the lowest quality.
