Videography as An Art  Choosing the Right Videographer  The Interview  Videography with Style

Videography with Style

By now, you know there are many different videographers to choose from, but it is also important to know there are many different video styles as well. While some couples prefer the traditional straight version, others prefer something more unique. Talk to as many videographers as possible and check samples of their work before you decide which style is best suited for you.

The Straight Version. The mayhem in the dressing room before the ceremony, the cute little flower girl that covered her eyes when you kissed your partner, and your mother sobbing from the bench nearby are memories that you want to preserve. For a realistic play-by-play of these events, ask your videographer for a straight version of your wedding day.

Interview at least three videographers and check samples of their work.

The Wedding Documentary. For a more emotional look at your wedding day, ask your videographer to create a documentary. The videographer will blend footage of the wedding with anecdotes from friends and family members. Your great grandmother wishes you a long and blessed marriage, while your mother tells an embarrassing story about you from when you were younger.

Personalized Videography. The third method is, perhaps, the most artistic of the three. This version of your wedding day incorporates footage, interviews with friends and family, as well as special effects. You can add childhood photographs of you and your new spouse and/or your own select background music.

A good videographer carries more than just a camera. He or she also carries an impressive repertoire of video know-how. Ask what video options are available to make your wedding memories last a lifetime.
